The Borzoi is also known as the Russian Wolfhound. The word Borzoi comes from the Russian word Borzaya which means quick dog. Borzoi are picky eaters and are sensitive to drugs. Borzoi come from the Middle East originally and began to be favored by Russian nobility around 1600. Queen Victoria popularized the Borzoi among British nobility.
